HBCU Students Tour

ATL 2026

A group of HBCU students visited Atlanta, Georgia, and embarked on an immersive tour exploring several iconic historic sites tied to Black culture and history. Their stops included the Martin Luther King Jr. Center, Sweet Auburn, Martin Luther King Jr.'s birth home, the city's first fire station that employed Black firefighters, and a drive past the APEX Museum. They also toured the National Center for Civil and Human Rights, passed by The Herndon Home Museum and the Atlanta University Center, enjoyed a meal at the legendary Varsity restaurant, and witnessed the vibrant Juneteenth parade.

People and Culture

Pro Scholar Students had the opportunity to collaborate on a college student tour in Atlanta, Georgia, focused on celebrating Black success. The participants included students from various HBCUs across the United States. This experience was significant, as it allowed the students to witness firsthand the achievements of other Black individuals, serving as a powerful source of inspiration and motivation.
